Britain Stewards Report

Formula 1

Incident: Maxi and Tezza made contact on the start/finish straight.

Stewards Report: This incident is quite obviously netcode, which is a recurring issue on F1 2018, which everybody has been warned about. Given the situation, and the fact that there wasn’t really a move on into turn 1, Maxi really had no need to get as close as he did, and hence was at fault for causing the netcode incident.

A warning to everybody, please bear in mind that netcode is a thing in this game!! There is no need to get as close as people do sometimes, whilst we recognize that some netcode is unavoidable, there are a lot of cases where people are too impatient and causes incidents due to this. Please, everybody, be more aware, and careful of your positioning on the track, and try to avoid any netcoding.

Decision: Maxi will receive 3 points on his licence.
