Japan Stewards Report

Formula 1

Incident: JFROCHER and OfficerJuan made contact on formation lap.

Stewards View: JFROCHER unnecessarily paused immediately after the start of the formation lap, causing Juan to go into the back of him, and return to the grid. This greatly affected the starting temperature of OfficerJuans tyres and led to him having a poor start.

Decision: JFROCHER will receive a reprimand.

Incident: Dylan and xandermar made contact along the main straight.

Stewards View: The stewards believe that the gap xandermar was trying to enter was always closing, and therefore not a legitimate overtake that was on. Dylmoss could’ve given a little more room but, as xandermar’s front wing was not level with Dylmoss’s left rear tyre, Dylmoss did not have to give any space there.

Decision: No further action warranted.

Incident: Lego, Energy, Juan and GTR-Lion all had unfair 5 second penalties.

Stewards View: There is a glitch at the chicane, where you get an instant 5s penalty.

Decision: Lego, Energy, Juan and GTR-Lion will all have 5 seconds removed.

Incident: OfficerJuan received an unfair 3s penalty.

Stewards View: N/A

Decision: OfficerJuan will have 3 seconds removed from his time.

Incident: Sean and Lego made contact at turn 12.

Stewards View: At first this incident looks bad, but its hard to blame any driver here. Lego stayed as far right as he possibly could. Any further, and he’d be on the grass. Sean tried to go around the outside, which is fair, but contact was made, and both drivers lost control of their cars.

Decision: No further action will be taken for this specific incident. However, both Lego and Sean will receive a reprimand for their driving in this race, and 2 points on their licences for their driving this season. They’ve repeatedly made contact all season, and we’re not blaming one or the other, however, both are as bad as each other, repeatedly making contact and not respecting each other on track. This needs to change. Repeated incidents in upcoming races may result in harsher penalties.

Formula 2

Incident: ItzRetrive and Fear made contact before 130R.

Stewards View: Whilst we believe that no driver is truly at fault here, as neither car makes any movement on their steering wheels, Fear’s car is veering slowly right, and we believe he should’ve made a correction to avoid the contact.

Decision: Fear will receive 1 point on his licence.

Formula 3

Incident: Miles made repeated defensive moves before 130R.

Stewards View: Everybody knows you’re only allowed one defensive move in F1. Miles made at least 4 here.

Decision: Miles will receive 2 points on his licence

Incident: NotOnPole pressed X before the formation lap.

Stewards View: N/A

Decision: NotOnPole will receive a reprimand.
